Finnish sauna · Cold plunge · Coast
Northlight is a Finnish-style sauna and cold-plunge club in a small coastal town — built for the old rhythm of löyly, icy water, and unhurried rest. No phones, no rush, just steam and sea air.
The Ritual
The Finnish way is simple and unhurried. You cycle between heat, cold, and rest — and let your nervous system do the rest. Most members stay for three or four rounds.
Sit on the top bench of our cedar sauna and throw water on the stones. Breathe slowly as the steam rolls over you.
Walk straight from the heat into the plunge — fed daily with fresh seawater from the harbour. One breath, then under.
Wrap up in a wool blanket in the rest room or on the deck. Tea and water are always on. This is where the calm lands.
Return to the heat when you feel ready — most people find the second and third rounds deeper than the first.
Doors open 30 minutes before the first session. Sunday morning is silent bathing — no conversation in the sauna.
