Northlight is a Finnish-style sauna and cold-plunge club at the end of the old pier. Wood-fired heat, a plunge pool cut into the harbour, and a warm room to sit in afterwards. No music, no phones in the sauna, nothing to perform.

One round takes about forty minutes
The ritual is a sequence, and the order matters. Heat opens you up, the cold closes everything down, and the rest in between is where it settles. Two or three rounds is a full session.
1. Heat, 12 minutes
Sit on the bench, breathe slowly, and throw water on the stones when you want more steam. That burst of steam is the löyly.
2. Plunge, up to 2 minutes
Walk straight from the sauna to the harbour pool and get in up to your shoulders. Thirty seconds is plenty the first time.
3. Rest, 10 minutes
Sit in the warm room, drink water or tea, and let your temperature come back on its own. Do not rush this part.
4. Repeat, 2 to 3 rounds
Go back in while the contrast still feels strong. Finish on heat or on cold — regulars argue about it, both are fine.
